The first page systematize types of a body in frontal (face-to-face) projections by means of digrams of the canon of changes i-jing. |
Each alive essence possesses a form in which there is a life idea. In forms
of plants and animals there is an idea of a natural life according to which
trees, or flowers, or insects, or birds, or animals are adapted for existence,
and in the form of a human body there is an idea of a reasonable life according
to which a person is adapted for realization of reasonable functions. Namely a
person is a reasonable conceiving essence and consequently can realize the
world, and including is capable to realize own body as one of forms of world
around.
The knowledge about forms of the nature and forms of a human body has the name
"morphology" that occurs from the Greek words "morphos" - the form and "logos" -
the knowledge. The morphology allows to realize a structure of a body, and also
allows to explain properties of human persons and varieties of human characters
by means of distinctions which are peculiar to bodies of people.
At all times people aspired to realize structure of the body and tried to
understand principles of corporal structures. People compared a human body to
cosmic space or otherwise to tell Anthropocosmos whose eyes is the sun and the
moon, and the body is all visible universe. Also people correlated a human body
to the perfect proportions and forms which saw in imagined bodies of gods that
is embodied in figures of the Greek statues. Namely people aspired to understand
forms of own body by means of the perfect divine forms, and as a result people
realized distinctions of characters which are caused by different bodies. As the
figure of Artemis or the figure of Aphrodite have different forms, and also
figures of Zeus or Hermes differ that specifies different characters of gods,
and testifies about different understanding of human characters by ancient
Greeks.
The offered morphological system of constitutional types and build types too is
attempt to explain structures of a human body, and to explain distinctions in
human characters caused by formal distinctions of bodies.
The human body in offered system is considered in direct or otherwise to tell
face-to-face or frontal projections (full-face) and in lateral or side-view
projections (half-face) which are necessary for the complete analysis of
corporal parameters. Similarly in physiognomy it is necessary to consider a
human face and to correlate a view in full-face to a view in half-face and make
uniform representation about appearance. Also the body is necessary for
considering in two projections and for correlating results of vision in uniform
notion. But preliminary it is necessary to analyze direct and lateral
projections of a body separately.
Can seem that the human body is too complex object of vision and is not
accessible to exhaustive comprehension of all formal features, but the offered
morphological system compares forms of a body with symbols of the ancient
Chinese canon of changes i-jing which form universal system of logic symbols and
allow to systematize phenomena of world around, and including allows to
systematize forms of human bodies by means of formal logic of symbols. Namely
within the offered system some basic levels are designated in a human body for
the morphological analysis, and accordingly basic psychological levels of a
person are taken into consideration. Otherwise it is possible to tell that
structures of a human person are presented as conditional (formal) scheme which
is compared to the formal scheme of a human body according to formal logic of
symbols i-jing.
Symbols of the canon i-jing consist of entire lines and break lines that allows
to systematize two types of human bodies. The first type possesses the increased
or massive sizes of a body that corresponds with the break line, and the second
type possesses the reduced or slender sizes of a body that corresponds with the
entire line, as shown in the chart:
![]() |
The massive (thick) type of a body seems quiet and
strong, namely there is an impression that the massive person possesses
such qualities. And the slender (thin) type of a body seems mobile and
weak. Actually not always the human body is thin or thick, but the top and bottom parts of a body can have the different sizes. Namely the sizes of the bottom part can be less significant in comparison with the top part, or on the contrary the bottom sizes can be more significant in comparison with the top sizes that demands more complex ordering for types of human bodies. |
Two kinds of lines in the canon i-jing form digrams or double combinations of lines which allow to systematize four types of builds according to the top and bottom sizes of a body, as shown in the following scheme:
![]() |
Type A possesses equally increased sizes of the top and
bottom parts of a body that corresponds with digram where both lines are
break. Type B possesses the increased sizes of the top part and the reduced sizes of the bottom part of a body that corresponds with digram where the top position is placed by the break line and the bottom position is placed by the entire line. Type C possesses the reduced sizes of the top part and the increased sizes of the bottom part of a body that corresponds with digram where the top position is placed by the entire line and the bottom position is placed by the break line. Type D possesses equally reduced sizes of the top and bottom parts of a body that corresponds with digram where both lines are entire. |
The top part of a body symbolizes quantity of force which the person
possesses, and also symbolizes a degree of confidence of own force. The bottom
part of a body symbolizes intensity of feelings and a degree of material
stability (material welfare).
Type A seems strong and assured, and also seems sensual and financially stable
as the top and bottom parts of a body have significant sizes.
Type B seems strong and assured as the top part of a body has significant sizes,
but seems financially unstable and constrained in displays of feelings as the
bottom part of a body has insignificant sizes.
Type C seems weak and uncertain as the top part of a body has insignificant
sizes, but seems financially stable and sensual as the bottom part of a body has
significant sizes.
Type D seems weak and uncertain, and also seems financially unstable and
constrained in displays of feelings as the top and bottom parts of a body have
insignificant sizes.
Type B is inherent in man's bodies, and type C is inherent in female bodies.
Types A and D can be equally peculiar to man's or female bodies. Namely force
and confidence are man's qualities of character, but weakness and uncertainty
are female qualities of character. And also sensuality and material stability
are female qualities of character, and the constrained display of feelings and
material instability are man's qualities of character.
If the person possesses type of body A then man's and female features are shown
in character, namely the top part of a body specifies man's character traits and
the bottom part of a body specifies female character traits that has different
value for men and women as sensuality and material stability are adequate for
women and are inadequate for men, but force and confidence are adequate for men
and inadequate for women.
If the person possesses type of body D then also in character there are man's
and female features which have different value for men and women, namely
weakness and uncertainty are adequate for women and inadequate for men, but the
constrained display of feelings and material instability are adequate for men
and inadequate for women.
In essence if the top part has insignificant sizes concerning the bottom part of
a body then it is impossible to demand power and resolute actions from the
person, but it is possible to expect display of sensuality. And also if the
bottom part has insignificant sizes concerning the top part of a body then it is
impossible to demand material stability and sensuality, but it is possible to
expect display of force.
If the top and bottom parts of a body have identical sizes then displays of
force and sensuality are uniform, but in this case the quantity of force and
intensity of feelings are connected with relative sizes that is possible to see
in comparison of human bodies. Namely it is possible to see that the person with
greater sizes of a body is more assured of own force and own feelings, rather
than the person with the smaller sizes of a body.
The following page describes more complex ordering for types of human bodies by means of tetragrams i-jing.
