At comparison of the images shown in gallery with bodies of real people it is
necessary to consider that adjacent levels of a body seem visually interfaced.
For example, the slender waist is more appreciable if shoulders and bones of
pelvis are expressed, and is less appreciable if shoulders and bones of pelvis
are not expressed as these are adjacent body levels.
To not be mistaken in identification of the expressed and not expressed levels
it is possible to use the scheme of reference points in face-to-face (frontal)
projections of a body:
![]() |
Horizontal lines divide a contour of a human body into
four levels. Each level corresponds to a line in tetragram i-jing. If
shoulders are expressed then draw the break line on the scheme in a
white field, and if shoulders are not expressed draw the entire line.
Also draw the break or entire lines for other levels of a body and as a
result there will be a tetragram i-jing which corresponds to type of a
build of the considered person. To determine the sizes of levels of a body it is possible to use vertical lines as visual reference points, namely it is possible to observe following rules. 1) If shoulders and hips approximately are on one line then should be designated by identical lines. And if are not on one line should be designated by different lines, namely the expressed level of a body should be designated by the break line and less expressed level of a body should be designated by the entire line. 2) If hips and bones of pelvis approximately are on one line then hips should be designated by the entire line, and bones of pelvis should be designated by the break line. 3) If bones of pelvis and waist are on one line then bones of pelvis should be designated by the entire line, and waist should be designated by the break line. |
These are three basic rules which observance will allow to exclude mistakes
at visual identification of the expressed and not expressed levels of a body.
But it is necessary to consider that there are exceptions to the rules, namely
the expressed and not expressed levels of a body can have other ratio with
vertical lines of reference points rather than shown on the scheme. And also it
is necessary to consider that on the scheme there is a conditional contour of a
human body and conditional lines of vertical reference points which are
necessary for comparing to bodies of real people approximately.
When the sizes of body levels are identified and lines in tetragram i-jing are
drawn it is possible to use the following table to find in gallery a serial
number of tetragram and number of corresponding type of a build.
![]() |
The symbolical figures in the scheme can slightly
differ from real human bodies but if the body of a person is formally
identified with any figure then corresponds to type of a build which
corresponds with this figure and tetragram i-jing. Pay attention that distinctions in proportions of male and female figures are not considered and consequently heterogeneous bodies can concern to one type of a build, namely in some cases male bodies can correspond with obvious female figures and female bodies can correspond with obvious male figures. Proportions of a male body are expressed less contrast and proportions of a female body are expressed more contrast, and consequently in galleries the left images show obvious female figures of a body and the right images are unified for male and female figures that allows to commensurate formal features of bodies with the unified geometrical forms and to check correctness of visual estimations. |
For visual estimations of the expressed and not expressed levels of a body in lateral projections it is possible to use the following scheme:
![]() |
If the back of a person is expressed then draw the
break line, and if the back is not expressed draw the entire line. Also
draw the break or entire lines for other levels of a body and as a
result there will be a haxagram i-jing which corresponds to type of a
build of the considered person. It is possible to use vertical lines as visual reference points to identify the sizes of body levels, namely it is possible to observe following rules. 1) If a back and buttocks approximately are on one line then back should be designated by the break line and buttocks should be designated by the entire line. 2) If loins and back approximately are on one line then loins should be designated by the break line and a back should be designated by the entire line. 3) If buttocks are not on one line with a back then should be designated by the break line, and if loins are not on one line with a back then should be designated by the entire line. 4) If breast or abdomen or legs deviate the general line aside increases in the sizes then should be designated by the break lines, and if deviate the general line aside reduction of the sizes then should be designated by the entire lines. It is necessary to measure the sizes of a breast according to the sizes of a thorax and according to a breastbone. |
These are key rules which it is possible to apply for visual identifications
of the expressed and not expressed levels of a body. But it is necessary to
consider that the scheme has lines of vertical reference points which are
necessary for comparing to bodies of real people approximately.
The additional information on methods of identification of frontal
face-to-face types and
lateral types of body builds, and in
particular about methods of identification according to positions of planets in
zodiacal signs and houses within the astrological circle in cosmograms and
horoscopes of people look on pages of this website in section with the name:
correlations of bodies.
When the sizes of levels of a body are estimated and hyphens in hexagram i-jing
are drawn then by means of following tables it is possible to find a serial
number of hexagram and number of corresponding type of a build.

Cells of the left table correspond to hexagrams i-jing,
and cells of the right table have figures of types of body builds
instead of hexagrams. According to serial numbers of hexagram i-jing it is possible to find corresponding types of builds in gallery. |
Other number of formal levels can be allocated in a human body, and there
can be more complex orderings of forms and types of body builds. But however
four formal levels in frontal projections and six formal levels in lateral
projections are expedient enough, as are comparable to symbols of the canon of
changes i-jing.
The detailed information about tetragrams and hexagrams look on pages of other
website where symbols of the canon of changes i-jing
(symbols of the Book of Changes) are compared to physiognomy of human faces, and
also are compared to emotional and psychological types of a human person.
The following page of this website section represents methods for the total analysis of frontal and lateral projections of a human body.
